Keep Your Commercial Punch Factory-Sharp
The Adjustable Punch is a heavy-duty workhorse favored by commercial growers, but like any cutting instrument, its metal tip will eventually dull after punching hundreds of holes into mainline tubing. A dull tip forces you to squeeze the tool harder and can stretch or tear the plastic rather than making a clean cut, which often leads to leaks. Instead of replacing the entire tool, these Adjustable Punch Replacement Tips allow you to instantly restore precise, clean punching power for a fraction of the cost.
Beyond maintenance, these threaded replacement tips allow you to safely swap hole sizes on the fly. The Small Tip (PUADJTSM) is required for standard 1/4″ drip emitters and transfer barbs, while the Large Tip (PUADJTLG) is specifically engineered for the oversized barbs on 5/8″ drip tape takeoff fittings. Keeping a spare of both sizes in your tool kit guarantees that your commercial plier punch is ready for any type of agricultural or landscape installation.
- Cost-Effective Repair: Extends the life of your expensive plier-style Adjustable Punch without replacing the whole tool.
- Two Exact Sizes: Available in a small size for standard micro emitters and a large size for thick drip tape takeoff barbs.
- Prevents Leaks: A sharp, new tip ensures a perfectly circular cut, creating a tight, leak-free seal around your fittings.
- Quick Tool-Free Swap: The threaded base allows you to easily unscrew the old tip and twist in the new one by hand in seconds.

A quick guide to safely swapping the cutting blade on your adjustable tool.
Step 1: Remove the Old Tip
Using your fingers or a small pair of pliers, grip the threaded base of the dull or incorrect cutting tip currently installed on your Adjustable Punch. Turn it counter-clockwise to unthread and remove it.
Step 2: Clean the Threads
Wipe away any dirt, mud, or plastic shavings from the threaded hole on the jaw of the punch to ensure the new tip seats completely flat.
Step 3: Install the New Tip
Take your new Adjustable Punch Replacement Tip and thread it clockwise into the hole. Tighten it firmly by hand. Do not over-tighten with pliers as this can strip the threads.
Step 4: Test the Punch
Take a scrap piece of poly tubing, adjust the V-guide to fit the pipe, and punch a test hole. Listen for a distinct “pop” to verify the new blade is cutting cleanly.
