Growing Organic Amaranth Sprout Seeds

Using a seed sprouting jar, sprouting tray, or hemp sprout bag, add about 1 tbsp organic Amaranth sprouting seeds to a container and give the seeds an initial soaking of 4-6 hours. After the initial soak, add them to your container of choice. Add to a sprouting jar or bag and rinse organic Amaranth sprouting seeds 2-3x per day followed by a quick drain. Do not allow the water to sit on the sprouts. Rinse seeds 2-3x per day for 1 week. This will keep the organic Amaranth sprouts fresh, clean, and hydrated without oversaturating them. Expose them to light regularly to increase germination rates.

If using the tray method, spread onto thin layer in a sprouting tray. Rinse or add water 2x per day, or follow sprouting tray instructions. Harvest in 7-10 days or as desired.

Benefits ofOrganic Amaranth Sprouts

A staple food source of the Incas and Aztecs, Amaranth is an excellent source of protein, fiber, and essential amino acids. Culinary Tips

Amaranth sprouts are popularly used in place of many grains. Instead of having a bed of rice to top with chicken or other proteins, use amaranth sprouts! Or, have it as a side dish to pair with any meal. They are even very attractive garnishes. Mix them into salads and wraps or simply eat them with a spoon! Their subtle flavor pairs well with many dishes.
