Growing Instructions
Growing fresh basil has never been easier! Simply fill a pot with a high-quality potting mix, place the 4-inch Basil Seed Disk on the soil surface, and cover with approximately ¼ inch of potting mix. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil consistently moist until the seeds germinate.
Place your pot in a location that receives 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day or under grow lights if growing indoors. Basil seeds typically germinate in 5–10 days when soil temperatures are between 70–85°F.
Once seedlings are established, water when the top inch of soil begins to dry. Begin harvesting leaves when plants are 6–8 inches tall, pinching stems just above a set of leaves to encourage bushier growth and continuous harvests.
For best results, pair your Basil Seed Disk with our 5″ Terra Cotta Pot Set, which includes matching drip trays, reusable chalkboard labels, and a chalk marker for an attractive, organized herb garden.
