Gilmour 196SPB Pattern Master Sprinkler

Water Your Unique Lawn — Not Your Driveway.

Every yard is a different shape — and most sprinklers don’t care. The Gilmour 196SPB Pattern Master Circular Sprinkler was built specifically for the reality of irregular lawns, where one-size coverage wastes water and leaves dry spots. Using a flexible 12-point programming disc, you can customize the spray distance at every point around the sprinkler’s rotation — watering close in some directions and far in others — so water lands exactly where your grass grows and nowhere else. With a maximum spray distance of 43 feet and coverage of up to 5,800 square feet, it easily handles large, mature lawns in a single placement.

The Pattern Master operates as an impact sprinkler, delivering water in the distinctive pulsating stream that impact designs are known for — powerful enough to penetrate lawn thatch and reach soil rather than sitting on top. The adjustable collar lets you set the rotation anywhere from a narrow partial arc to a full 360° circle, and a built-in speed control ensures even coverage even in partial-circle mode. The entire unit is constructed from impact-resistant, rust-proof polymer with a fold-out sled base that keeps it firmly in place on level ground without stakes or anchoring. And it connects via a standard 3/4″ garden hose fitting, so setup takes about 30 seconds.

This sprinkler is covered by Gilmour’s lifetime warranty, making it one of the most durable and cost-effective options in its class. It also supports daisy-chain connection — link multiple units in series to cover large lawns with a single hose run. If you’re managing an automated system, pair this sprinkler with one of DripWorks’ irrigation timers for hands-free scheduling.
