Hungarian Blue Breadseed Poppy is a classic heirloom poppy prized for its soft, satiny blooms and distinctive blue-gray seedpods. Delicate flowers open in shades of pale lavender to soft violet, followed by large, ornamental pods that add lasting interest to the garden and are ideal for dried arrangements. This old-world favorite brings a romantic, cottage-garden feel to borders, beds, and cutting gardens.
Easy to grow and well suited to cool spring conditions, Hungarian Blue poppy thrives when direct-sown and allowed to establish early. Plants are upright and sturdy, producing abundant blooms in early summer. Once established, they require little care and readily reseed, returning year after year with graceful charm.
