Landreth Stringless Bean is an heirloom, open-pollinated bush bean variety that was introduced in 1885. This bush bean variety is truly stringless and fiberless. Upright plants are hardy and grow to 20-24″ tall. Pods average 5″ and are slightly curved. Landreth Stringless Bean is easy to snap and has a meaty taste that is delicious and filling. These beans are tender and taste great when snapped raw for a salad. They also maintain texture well when steamed or boiled and they are a perfect variety for preserving in jars or freezing. This is a great variety for the backyard garden or small-scale market farm.
