A consistent top-scorer in taste trials, O’Henry is a yellow-fleshed freestone with superb, well-balanced flavor. It’s a popular choice for home gardeners thanks to its vigorous nature and heavy yields, producing large, firm, red-skinned fruits in abundance. A late-season variety, peaches ripen in early to mid-August—the perfect complement to the waning days of summer. Variety is self-fruitful, with a chilling requirement of about 750 hours. Zones 5-9.
