Its deep purple-burgundy color is a welcome addition to slaws and salads. The round heads measure up to 6 inches across and weigh about a pound each. To grow mini cabbages, just space the plants closer together. Omero Hybrid Cabbage was a favorite in our test trials and the best quality red cabbage we grew.
