The Rain Bird R-VAN24-360 is the largest-radius nozzle in Rain Bird’s high-efficiency R-VAN rotary nozzle line — and it’s purpose-built for full-circle coverage of wide-open turf areas. It delivers multiple rotating streams across a 17- to 24-foot radius in a fixed 360° full-circle pattern, making it the right choice for round or square lawn zones where complete coverage is needed from a single head location. Whether you’re upgrading an existing spray zone or designing a new system for a large residential lawn, park strip, or commercial landscape, the R-VAN24-360 combines serious reach with water-saving technology that standard spray nozzles simply can’t match.
What separates the R-VAN series from conventional fixed-spray nozzles is the rotating stream technology at its core. Instead of spraying a continuous fan of water, multiple slow-moving streams distribute water uniformly across the entire radius range at a much lower precipitation rate — significantly reducing runoff and erosion, and giving water time to soak in rather than sheet off. Rain Bird reports that retrofitting standard spray nozzles with R-VAN rotary nozzles can reduce flow by up to 60% and improve water efficiency by up to 30%. The thick, wind-resistant water streams resist misting and fogging even in adverse conditions, keeping water in the target zone rather than drifting off-course. A matched precipitation rate across all R-VAN models (R-VAN14, R-VAN18, R-VAN24) means you can mix nozzle sizes in the same zone without creating dry or over-watered spots.
The radius is easily adjusted by hand — no tools required — and Rain Bird recommends making adjustments while the system is running for best accuracy. The nozzle also features an exclusive pull-up flush feature: simply pull up on the nozzle body to clear dirt and debris from the nozzle orifice in the field, without removing or replacing the nozzle. This is particularly useful in sandy or dusty environments where clogging is a concern.
The R-VAN24-360 is color-coded and laser-marked for fast visual identification in the field, and it installs directly into any Rain Bird 1804, 1806, or 1812 spray body, as well as standard 1/2″ risers and adapters.
