Growing 6-9 ft. tall with a similar spread, Red Prince Weigela is an upright, deciduous shrub with an oval-rounded habit, making it a good choice for a specimen plant. More cold hardy than some weigelas, Red Prince is a favorite flowering shrub for northern gardeners. Grows best when planted in full sun. Deer tend to avoid.
