Growing Organic Spelt Sprout Seeds

Using either a seed sprouting jar, sprouting tray, or hemp sprout bag, add about 1/3rd cup organic hulless barley sprout seeds to a container and soak for 6-12 hours. After the initial soak, add them to your container of choice.

Jar or bag: Add to a sprouting jar or bag and rinse 2-3x per day.

Tray: Spread onto a thin layer in a sprouting tray. Rinse or add water 2x per day, or follow sprouting tray instructions.

Harvest in 2-3 days or as desired. They can be ready for soups or additional cooking in less than 2 days. Grain sprouts are best used just as the root is starting. Half an inch or less is good. This is before any significant shoot development or chlorophyll (green color) is present. Alternatively, grow as microgreen to the鈥済rass鈥?stage for juicing.
