Yellow Fish Pepper – (Capsicum annuum)
This is the rare yellow variant of the classic Fish Pepper—an heirloom with roots in African-American cuisine dating back to the 1800s. Like the original, the plants feature beautifully variegated foliage with splashes of white and green, but the pods follow a different color path: they start green, often striped or mottled, then shift through lighter yellow-green tones before ripening to a bright, rich yellow.
Pods are elongated, typically 3–4 inches long, with a smooth, slightly curved shape and medium-thick walls. The heat sits in the medium range offering a warm kick without overwhelming flavor.
