Commercial-Grade High-Pressure Debris Protection

The Amiad High-Pressure Filter provides a virtually indestructible, professional-grade solution for protecting your drip irrigation or sprinkler system from debris. Sturdy and exceptionally strong, these standard Amiad models feature a heavily reinforced frame designed specifically to handle extreme constant pressure situations up to 140 PSI. This allows you to safely install them directly onto your mainline before your automated timers or irrigation valves without any risk of the canister stretching or bursting under continuous strain.

Available in 3/4″, 1″, and 1 1/2″ sizes, all models feature a convenient Y-style body equipped with Male Pipe Threads (MPT) on both the inlet and outlet. If you plan to connect these robust pipe-threaded filters to a standard garden spigot, simply use a set of hose-to-pipe thread adapters to bridge the connection. Inside the housing, a highly durable stainless steel screen actively filters out dirt and foreign objects. For larger agricultural setups, the 1 1/2″ “Super” model offers a double-sized screen, providing twice the filtering area to drastically reduce the frequency of manual cleanings.

Why Choose Amiad High-Pressure Filters?
  • Extreme Pressure Rating: Safely handles continuous mainline pressure up to an incredible 140 PSI (compared to the Tagline’s 110 PSI limit).
  • Heavily Reinforced Frame: The robust plastic housing is structurally reinforced to survive harsh commercial and agricultural environments.
  • Standard Pipe Threads: Features Male Pipe Threads (MPT) for secure, leak-free integration directly into standard PVC plumbing and manifolds.
  • Super Size Option: The 1 1/2″ Super Filter utilizes a massively expanded canister and screen, doubling the filtration area (52 sq. in.) to prevent rapid clogging.
  • Easy Maintenance: All sizes include a convenient bottom drain valve for instant, under-pressure flushing without having to unscrew the main canister.

How to Set Up: A Step-by-Step Guide

Build your high-pressure pipe-threaded head assembly safely.

Step 1: Prep the Threads
Because this filter utilizes Pipe Threads (MPT), you must apply 2 to 3 wraps of Teflon tape to both the inlet and outlet threads to ensure a watertight seal. Do not use liquid pipe dope or over-tighten.

Step 2: Install the Filter
Thread the Amiad filter into your PVC manifold. Because it is rated for constant pressure, you have the flexibility to install it either upstream (before) or downstream (after) of your automated valves. Ensure the directional flow arrow points downstream.

Step 3: Adapt to Hose (If Needed)
If you are attaching this filter directly to a garden spigot or timer, thread a hose-to-pipe adapter onto the inlet and outlet.

Step 4: Routine Flushing
Periodically open the flush valve at the bottom of the filter while the system is actively running and pressurized to quickly blow out trapped sediment without unscrewing the canister.
