Build your high-capacity pipe-threaded head assembly safely.
Step 1: Prep the Threads
Because this filter utilizes 2″ Pipe Threads (MPT), you must apply several wraps of Teflon tape to both the inlet and outlet threads to ensure a watertight seal. Do not use liquid pipe dope.
Step 2: Choose Outlet Configuration
Determine whether your PVC manifold design requires a side outlet (standard) or a top outlet. Configure the cap and outlet port accordingly before installation.
Step 3: Install the Filter
Thread the Arkal Dual Lite filter into your heavy-duty PVC manifold. Because it is rated for constant pressure up to 116 PSI, you have the flexibility to install it either upstream (before) or downstream (after) of your automated valves.
Step 4: Routine Cleaning
When you notice a drop in pressure, turn off the water supply. Unhook the large plastic clasp, pull the housing cover off, and remove the internal disc spine. Loosen the tension nut so the discs separate slightly, then aggressively rinse them with a hose to remove all algae and sediment.
