During the hot, dry summer months, moisture is rapidly eliminated from the soil surrounding your home. This dry spell causes the ground to shrink and pull away, which can easily lead to devastating and expensive cracks in your home’s foundation. The DripWorks Foundation Watering Kit is designed as a simple, automated way to apply consistent, even moisture to the perimeter of your house, drastically reducing the effects of shrinking soil and protecting your biggest investment.
This comprehensive easy-to-install DIY kit comes with 200 feet of premium 17mm Netafim Emitter Tubing, providing enough coverage for up to a 50′ x 50′ foundation or a 2,500 square foot home. The kit features a fully automated Bluetooth hose timer, allowing you to set a watering schedule from your smartphone and never worry about turning the faucet on and off. The specialized emitter tubing delivers water slowly and directly to the soil where it’s needed most.
We have pre-calculated all the necessary components so you can open the box and start your installation immediately. Because this system attaches directly to your outdoor faucet, we highly recommend adding a Brass Y-Splitter to your order. This allows you to run your automated foundation system while keeping a standard garden hose accessible for other yard work.
This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.
Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
Begin by attaching the Bluetooth Timer directly to your faucet. Next, attach the Backflow Preventer, followed by the Filter, and then the 30 PSI Pressure Regulator. This stack of components protects your water supply, cleans the water, and regulates the pressure for optimal performance.
Step 2: The Extension and Adapter
Attach the 3′ High-Pressure Hose Extension to the regulator. This allows the system to drop comfortably to ground level. At the end of the hose extension, screw on the Hose to Pipe Adapter.
Step 3: Lay the Foundation Tubing
Thread the 17mm Combination Tee onto the adapter. From here, connect the 17mm Netafim Emitter Tubing and run it in both directions around the perimeter of your foundation, keeping it about 12 to 18 inches away from the wall.
Step 4: Secure and Cap the Lines
Use the included Poly Tubing Hold Downs every few feet to secure the tubing to the ground. Once you have circled the foundation, cut any excess tubing and seal the ends using the Figure 8 End Fittings.
