Follow these steps to seamlessly integrate your new Bluetooth valve.
Step 1: Install the Battery
Unscrew the battery compartment on the controller head, insert a fresh 9V alkaline battery, and firmly re-tighten the cap to ensure the waterproof seal is maintained.
Step 2: Connect to Mainline
Using thread seal tape, thread 3/4″ or 1″ Male Pipe Thread (MPT) PVC or poly adapters into both the inlet and outlet of the valve. Pay close attention to the flow direction arrow molded into the valve body.
Step 3: Pair the Device
Download the Galcon BT app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth, open the app, and follow the on-screen prompts to pair with your controller.
Step 4: Program & Test
Name your zone in the app, set your desired watering schedule (days, start times, and duration), and use the app’s manual start feature to test the system and verify water flow.
