Maximum Protection Backflow Preventer with Flood Sensor
The FEBCO 825Y Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) Backflow Preventer delivers the highest level of mechanical protection available for irrigation systems, boiler feed lines, and other installations exposed to high-hazard (toxic) fluids. This Y-pattern bronze assembly uses two independently operating spring-loaded check valves and a hydraulically dependent differential relief valve to keep contaminated water from ever reaching your potable supply. Every unit ships with a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor mounted on the relief valve, ready to detect excessive discharge. For a complete backflow prevention setup, pair it with a compatible pressure regulator and shutoff valve.
Rated to 175 PSI maximum working pressure and built with full-port ball valve shutoffs and test cocks, the 825Y is serviceable in-line with a modular relief valve for easy maintenance. The flood sensor is passive out of the box — activating real-time flood alerts requires an optional add-on connection kit (BMS or cellular). This assembly meets ASSE 1013, AWWA C511, and CSA B64.4 standards and is approved by the Foundation for Cross-Connection Control at USC.

Per FEBCO’s specification sheet, the standard 825Y is manufactured for industrial, agricultural, and irrigation backflow protection and is not certified under the U.S. Lead-Free Act for plumbing systems that supply water for human consumption (drinking or dishwashing). If your application requires lead-free/potable certification, ask a DripWorks representative about the LF825Y series before ordering.
