Green Crop Bush Bean is an extremely productive variety of flattened bush bean. This open-pollinated, “snap bean” variety produces pods that are 8″ long and somewhat flattened, but not as much as traditional Italian Romano varieties. Plants will grow 18″ to 20″ tall and produce “stringless” pods with white Seeds.
The Green Crop Bush Bean variety was an All-America Selections winner in 1957 due to superb quality and flavor. This snap bean is great for fresh eating and does well as a fresh-to-market bean. It also works well for preservation purposes. Preserve whole or snapped beans in pressure-canned jars, or blanch and freeze in bags.
