Because of the substantial build of this assembly, we strongly recommend using a high-flow hose extension to relieve physical weight from your spigot, along with a water filter to protect the internal valve from debris.
Programming is made exceptionally easy thanks to the removable LCD controller—simply pop the faceplate off, program your schedule comfortably in your hands, and snap it back onto the valve. Built to withstand challenging outdoor environments, the unit natively features 3/4″ female pipe threads (FPT) but crucially includes adapters to convert it to standard female hose thread (FHT) inlet and male hose thread (MHT) outlet. Follow these steps to safely install and program your high-flow LCD timer.
Step 1: Install the Battery
Detach the removable LCD controller from the valve body and insert one fresh 9-volt industrial alkaline battery into the rear compartment.
Step 2: Program Your Schedule
While the faceplate is detached, use the buttons to set your current time, desired start times, run duration, and watering frequency according to your garden’s needs.
Step 3: Connect to Water Source
Thread the included Female Hose Thread (FHT) adapter onto your outdoor spigot (or onto a hose extension if relieving weight). Attach the timer’s inlet to the adapter, ensuring the entire timer rests in a strictly horizontal position for proper valve operation.
Step 4: Reattach and Test
Snap the programmed LCD controller securely back onto the valve body and perform a manual override test to ensure water is flowing correctly through your downstream system.
