Follow these steps to safely plumb and wire your commercial Toro P-220 valve.
Step 1: Plumb the Connections
Using high-quality Teflon tape, thread 1.5″ male PVC adapters into the large inlet and outlet ports. Ensure the directional arrows on the valve body perfectly align with the direction of your mainline water flow.
Step 2: Install in a Valve Box
Seat the fully plumbed valve inside a heavy-duty underground rectangular valve box over a deep bed of gravel to ensure proper drainage.
Step 3: Connect the Wiring
Connect one wire from the Spike-Guard™ solenoid to your 24V controller’s common wire, and the other solenoid wire to the specific station wire. Securely seal all connections using waterproof wire nuts.
Step 4: Activate and Test
